Coming in the fall of 2008, we will officially support .mobi web creation and be certified to do so. .mobi is move to create standards for mobile websites with compliance and regulations as well as a TLD registrar.

If your website were "example.com" you may register "example.mobi" where your visitors with mobile phones and PDAs may be able to access your core services optimized for smaller screen real estate, slower connections and limited tech overhead (flash, huge images, other plugins etc..)

What does this mean for you? You will not have to register the .mobi TLD of your current domain to contract Techhammer to build you a mobile website. Mobile sites can run on most other TLD's (.com, .net, .info, .org etc..). Regardless of the TLD you will be using, your core services can be available to your customers.
